JOB DESCRIPTION

 

POSITION TITLE:  Manufacturing Supervisor                                 STATUS: Exempt

DEPARTMENT:      Manufacturing

REPORTS TO:        Manufacturing Manager

 

GENERAL SUMMARY: 

Responsible for supervising and directing the activities of a production area, providing technical support and coordinating scheduling and planning as needed.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE  

High School Diploma or GED and/or two years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience. Two to Five years previous supervisory experience preferred.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:  

Ability to read, write, do basic math, and communicate effectively.

While performing the duties of this job, the Employee is regularly required to stand, bend or kneel. The Employee is continuously required to use hands and arms to reach, finger, handle, or feel objects and controls. The Employee is regularly required to walk, talk and hear.

 

The Employee must regularly lift 35 pounds and occasionally lift 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

As a Manufacturing Supervisor an Employee will work in a cool to extremely hot environment, dependent upon project. There is exposure to fuels, oils, cleaning solvents and fumes from machinery. The noise level in the work environment varies depending upon project, hearing protection is required. Additional safety equipment may be required.
